Suzuki tops the 2026 What Car? Reliability Survey
Suzuki has been named the UK's most reliable car brand in the 2026 What Car? Reliability Survey, achieving an impressive score of 97.8% and moving up from third place last year.
The annual survey, conducted in association with MotorEasy, gathered feedback from more than 39,300 What Car? readers, covering 30 manufacturers and 225 models up to five years old.
Suzuki's individual models also performed exceptionally well. The previous-generation Swift (2017–2024) achieved a perfect 100% reliability rating, sharing first place in the Supermini category with no faults reported by owners. The Vitara also impressed in the Small SUV category, scoring 97.6%, comfortably ahead of the class average of 91.7%.
Claire Evans, Consumer Editor at What Car?, praised Suzuki's performance, highlighting its exceptionally low fault rate of just 10%, with all reported faults repaired free of charge.
For additional peace of mind, Suzuki offers up to 10 years or 100,000 miles of Service Activated Warranty. Following the initial three-year manufacturer warranty, cover can be renewed through qualifying services at an authorised Suzuki dealer, subject to terms and conditions.
The result reinforces Suzuki's reputation for building dependable, practical and affordable cars, giving owners even greater confidence in their choice.
